Cribl is hiring a Staff Data Engineer to lead Cribl's Data Engineering team, shaping architecture for core data systems and overseeing data pipelines, ingestion services, and the data warehouse. You will own orchestration platforms, RBAC design, and cost-efficient operations, while guiding senior engineers and collaborating with analytics, SRE, IT, and business stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Deep expertise in Snowflake, with advanced data modeling, query performance tuning, cost management, and security/RBAC design.
• Demonstrated technical leadership, experience as a tech lead or staff-level engineer.
• Excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration across data, engineering, and business teams.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a technical lead for the Data Engineering team and own architecture decisions for core data systems.
• Drive reliable, production-grade outcomes and partner with stakeholders across functions.
• Clarify requirements, validate outputs, communicate risks, tradeoffs, and timelines.
• Own and operate self-hosted orchestration and the Prefect deployment; manage upgrades and footprint.
