Job summary

GE Aerospace is seeking a Staff Data Engineer to build the data fabric backbone for automated metadata ingestion, API/connector integrations, and policy enforcement. You will work across hybrid cloud, on-premises, and edge environments to ensure provable access control and data governance in defense contexts.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree from accredited university or college with minimum of 4 years of professional experience
• Associates degree with minimum of 7 years of professional experience
• High School Diploma with minimum of 9 years of professional experience

Responsibilities

• Pipeline and connector engineering across distributed source systems
• Develop API and connector integrations for data sources and data-product delivery
• Plan, schedule, and execute integration work for data products
• Support schema-translation pipeline builds with the Sr Staff Data Engineer
• Policy enforcement through governance rules and access control
• Collaborate with IAM and export compliance architects on enforcement logic
• Operate data product pipelines with monitoring and reliability
• Maintain federated technical documentation
• Support onboarding SLA with timely technical assessment
• Conform to architecture standards and contribute to onboarding data products
