Job summary

GE Aerospace is seeking a Staff Data Engineer to build the data fabric backbone for Defense & Systems. You will implement automated metadata ingestion, API and connector integrations, and the policy enforcement engine across hybrid cloud, on-premises, and edge environments.

The role requires hands-on engineering, collaboration with architects, and rapid delivery of data products with governance and security in mind. Preference for security clearance readiness and relevant certifications.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience as stated.
• Minimum 3 years in Data Pipeline Engineering & Systems Integration or IT.
• U.S. work authorization is required.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain automated metadata ingestion pipelines across distributed sources.
• Develop API and connector integrations for data sources and products.
• Implement policy-as-code and access-control enforcement in collaboration with architects.
• Onboard and manage operations, monitoring, and documentation for data products.
