GE Aerospace seeks a Staff Data Engineer to build the data fabric backbone across hybrid cloud, on-premises, and customer-site environments in a defense context. You will implement automated metadata ingestion, API/connector integrations, and enforce governance with policy-as-code and ABAC.

You will collaborate with architects to ensure secure, reliable data delivery, and support onboarding SLAs while maintaining documentation for federated teams. A US-security-clearance pathway is expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent with years of professional experience in data engineering or IT.
• Military experience equivalent to professional experience.

Responsabilités

• Build and maintain automated metadata ingestion pipelines across distributed source systems.
• Develop API and connector integrations for new data sources and data-product delivery.
• Plan, schedule, and execute integration work for data products moving through the lifecycle.
• Support schema-translation pipeline builds with Sr Staff Data Engineer.
• Wire the policy enforcement engine for governance rules and ABAC.
• Partner with IAM and export compliance architects to validate enforcement logic.
• Onboard and manage operative data products in the fabric with monitoring and SLA alignment.
• Maintain technical documentation for federated teams.
