Job summary

GE Aerospace is seeking a Staff Data Engineer to build the data fabric infrastructure, including automated metadata ingestion, API/connector integrations, and a policy‑enforcement engine. You will onboard and manage data product operations, aligning with architecture standards to ensure reliable data flow across hybrid cloud, on‑premises, and edge environments.

Responsibilities include developing data pipelines, implementing policy‑as‑code, and ensuring security and governance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher with minimum 4 years of professional experience OR Associates with 7 years OR High School Diploma with 9 years of professional experience.
• Minimum 3 years of professional experience in Data Pipeline Engineering & Systems Integration or IT.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain automated metadata ingestion pipelines across distributed source systems.
• Develop API and connector integrations for new data sources and data‑product delivery.
• Plan, schedule, and execute integration work for data products moving through the lifecycle.
• Support schema‑translation pipeline builds with the Sr Staff Data Engineer.
