Job summary

GE Aerospace is seeking a Staff Data Engineer to build the data fabric backbone, enabling automated metadata ingestion, API and connector integrations, and policy enforcement across hybrid cloud, on-premises, and edge environments for defense data products.

The role interfaces with governance and architecture teams to ensure reliability, security, and compliant data access, supporting a fast-paced team and critical workloads in a regulated industry.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent with 4+ years professional experience (or higher).
• Military experience is considered equivalent to professional experience.
• Experience in data pipelines, systems integration, and governance is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain automated metadata ingestion pipelines across distributed sources.
• Develop API and connector integrations for new data sources and data-product delivery.
• Plan, schedule, and execute integration work for data products through lifecycle.
• Wire policy enforcement engine and implement policy-as-code with ABAC guidance.
