Job summary

Trellix is hiring a Staff Software Development Engineer to lead design and development of a high-performance Cloud Threat Detection Platform.

You will architect large-scale submission pipelines, build web interfaces with React/Django, and manage secure AWS infrastructure across regions.

Expect collaboration across threat research and engineering teams, with a hybrid work model and multi-region compliance responsibilities.

Qualifications

• 11+ years of professional software development experience building and operating high-throughput microservices and web architectures.
• Strong AWS cloud architecture and large-scale system experience.
• Proficient in Python web frameworks (FastAPI, Django, Flask).
• Deep knowledge of REST and asynchronous web APIs handling millions of requests.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop the Cloud Threat Detection Platform, driving core submission pipelines and high-throughput microservices.
• Build modern, responsive web interfaces and analyst dashboards using React and Django.
• Architect resilient, low-latency pipelines processing millions of API submissions daily.
• Design end-to-end AWS infrastructure with VPCs, ALB/ELB, S3, Lambda, ECS/EKS, and more.
• Leverage AI tooling to streamline code development, reviews, and delivery workflows.
• Implement secure API boundaries, OAuth2, JWT, SAML and strong identity controls.
• Ensure compliance with FedRAMP and multi-region data residency guidelines.
• Develop telemetry pipelines using OpenSearch, DynamoDB, RDS, Athena for observability.
• Own production issues end-to-end with thorough RCA and SLAs.
