Job summary

Trellix is seeking a Staff Software Development Engineer to lead the design and development of a high-throughput Cloud Threat Detection Platform. You will architect submission pipelines, microservices, and analyst interfaces, operating across secure AWS environments and modern AI toolchains.

You will drive full-stack development with React/Django, implement secure API boundaries, and ensure compliance with FedRAMP and other regulatory standards while collaborating across engineering and threat

Qualifications

• 11+ years of professional software development experience.
• Deep AWS cloud architecture knowledge for large-scale enterprise systems.
• Linux proficiency; shell scripting.
• Excellent Python development skills (FastAPI, Django, Flask).
• Experience with REST and async web APIs handling millions of requests.
• Working knowledge of C/C++ for interfacing with low-level engines; Go preferred.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop the Cloud Threat Detection Platform, leading core pipelines and microservices.
• Build modern web UIs and dashboards using React, Django, HTML, CSS, JS.
• Architect high-volume submission pipelines with low-latency processing.
• Design, deploy, and manage secure AWS infrastructure (VPC, EC2, S3, Lambda, etc.).
• Leverage AI tooling (Claude Code, Amazon Q) for code development and reviews.
• Implement secure API boundaries, OAuth2/JWT/SAML, and SDL practices.
