Job summary

Trellix is seeking a Staff Software Development Engineer to lead the design and development of our Cloud Threat Detection Platform. You will architect high-throughput submissions pipelines, microservices, and secure web interfaces, delivering scalable solutions for millions of daily requests.

Qualifications

• Over 11 years of professional software development experience building high-throughput microservices and cloud platforms.
• AWS cloud architecture expertise for large-scale systems is essential.
• Strong Linux proficiency with shell scripting required.
• Proficient Python development (FastAPI, Django, Flask) and REST/async Web APIs.
• Experience interfacing with low-level engines using C/C++ (Go preferred).
• CI/CD and IaC experience (GitHub Actions, Terraform, AWS CDK, CloudFormation).
• Web UI/full-stack using React, JavaScript, HTML/CSS; security-aware development.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop our Cloud Threat Detection Platform architecture and pipelines.
• Lead high-throughput submission pipelines and microservices with low latency.
• Build full-stack web UIs and analyst dashboards using React and Django.
• Plan and manage end-to-end AWS infrastructure (VPC, EC2, ALB/ELB, Lambda, API Gateway, ECS, EKS, S3).
• Integrate AI tooling to accelerate code development and reviews.
• Implement secure API boundaries, OAuth2, JWT, SAML and SDL compliance.
• Ensure multi-region data sovereignty and FedRAMP compliance.
• Design telemetry pipelines with OpenSearch, DynamoDB, RDS, Athena.
• Own production issues end-to-end, including RCA and SLA commitments.
