Job summary

Cohesity, Inc. in Santa Clara, CA, is seeking a Staff Software Engineer to build system software services in a fast-paced security-focused environment.

You will work with product engineering and infrastructure to design, implement, and deliver high-performance features for on‑prem and cloud deployments. You'll lead cross‑team efforts, mentor teammates, and apply deep knowledge of Linux internals, containers, and cloud security to create scalable distributed services.

Qualifications

• B.S. or M.S. in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or related field.
• At least 10 to 12 years of software design and development experience.
• Experience leveraging AI tools to enhance productivity, streamline workflows, and support decision making.
• 2+ years of Kubernetes and microservices architecture and Container security.
• Strong development experience in Golang, C++, Java and Python.
• REST API and GRPC-based application development.
• Deep understanding of Cloud Security (Cloud networks and Cloud-based Systems), including cryptography and Cloud Security Architecture and Solution.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and implement system, container, and Cloud Security related product features.
• Architect, design, develop and operationalize high-performance, scalable, reliable, and resilient services.
• Deep understanding of Linux Internals, Containers, and Cloud security for on-prem and SaaS deployments.
• Coordinate features and deliverables across multiple teams to achieve project goals.
• Collaborate with cloud operations to establish KPIs and own end-to-end delivery and lifecycle management.
• Lead initiatives and projects, providing technical leadership and mentoring to team members.
