Job summary

Cohesity seeks an outstanding engineer with deep experience in building LARGE distributed systems and solving complex problems. The role spans on-premises and SaaS, with a web-scale data platform and robust data services. You will work with product teams to shape strategy and deliver scalable features.

You will champion engineering excellence through tests, reliability, and best practices while collaborating across the organization to meet demanding performance goals.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's, Master's, or PhD in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• 12+ years of experience designing, developing, and troubleshooting large-scale distributed systems.
• Strong software development experience in C++ and/or Go.
• Experience with data protection, storage systems, filesystems, or related infrastructure technologies is a plus.
• Hands-on experience with AI-assisted development tools such as Cursor, Claude, or GitHub Copilot.
• Familiarity with Agile and Scrum development methodologies.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain capabilities across both on-premises and SaaS offerings.
• Partner with Product Management and engineering teams to define technical strategy and influence the roadmap.
• Architect and implement scalable features for cloud and on-prem environments.
• Champion engineering excellence through tests, code quality, reliability, and operational best practices.
• Deliver resilient, enterprise-grade solutions meeting scalability and performance needs.
• Foster ownership, accountability, and continuous improvement within the team.
• Contribute to Agile processes and technical leadership.
