Job summary

Burns & McDonnell is seeking a Staff Civil Engineer to join project teams across power, process, healthcare, and more, delivering world-class civil designs from concept through construction.

You will modify drawings, review CAD outputs (AutoCAD, MicroStation, Civil 3D), perform field inspections, compile studies and specifications while coordinating with project managers to meet budgets and client needs.

Qualifications

• ABET-accredited civil engineering degree with 3 years of experience.
• FE exam completed with 3 years of civil engineering experience or a master's degree with 2 years.
• Master's degree in Civil Engineering preferred.
• Strong knowledge of standard civil engineering techniques and procedures.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform civil design from conceptual phase through design completion.
• Review and modify production drawings for government, military, power, process and other facilities.
• Design civil components per project manager requirements.
• Utilize CAD tools (AutoCAD, MicroStation, Civil 3D) and related analysis programs.
• Compile project data, studies, and specifications; support client presentations.
• Conduct field inspections, measurements, and calculations for clients.
• Adhere to policies and standards.
