Anthropic is seeking experienced backend and distributed systems engineers to join the Agentic Systems team. You will own systems end-to-end from API design through operations, focusing on durable sessions, sandbox orchestration, and scalable agent management.

You will collaborate with product, research, and developer experience teams to evolve the harness, evals, and tooling, ensuring reliability, latency, and cost efficiency across production environments.

Formación

• 8+ years of backend or distributed systems experience.
• Experience with production-grade, long-lived services.
• Strong design sense for developer-facing APIs.
• Experience with memory, state, and scaling challenges.

Responsabilidades

• Scale the platform: durable session storage, sandbox orchestration, and multi-tenant isolation.
• Evolve the harness and build eval infrastructure to measure quality against baselines.
• Help customers leverage Claude with multi-agent orchestration, memory, and observability.
• Design APIs and tooling; versioning, ergonomics across API/SDK/CLI, sensible defaults.
