Qualifications

• 8+ years designing, developing and launching backend systems at scale with Python or Kotlin.
• Experience building highly available distributed systems using AWS, MySQL, Spark and Kubernetes.
• Experience in financial systems, ledgering, treasury or related domains requiring data accuracy.
• Proven track record delivering major features through technical and execution plans; writes high-quality code.
• Comfort with ambiguity and understanding the architecture of large systems.
• Strong communication skills for collaboration with global engineering teams.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.

Responsibilities

• Set technical strategy for your team on a year-long horizon and align it with critical business projects.
• Collaborate across product management, design and analytics to ensure technical sustainability and risk management.
• Act as a force-multiplier by defining and promoting technical solutions and operational processes.
• Own team operations and availability with monitoring, on-call playbooks, and incident response.
• Set code review and design standards and advocate for them across teams.
• Mentor and develop team members through feedback and example.
