Job summary

Affirm is seeking a Software Engineer to design, build, and scale money movement, data integration, and merchant data systems as part of the Money Movement & Card Ledger team. You will own quarterly goals, lead engineers through ambiguity, and collaborate with product, design, and analytics to deliver robust backend solutions.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of designing, developing and launching backend systems at scale.
• Ownership of personal growth with proactive feedback to team and stakeholders.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience in a related field.
• Ability to make significant changes in a large codebase with safe, scalable tooling and processes.
• Strong verbal and written communication for global collaboration.
• Experience defining a technical plan for delivering major features or system components.
• Write high-quality, easily understandable code with clear interfaces.
• Track record of highly available distributed systems using AWS, MySQL and Kubernetes.
