Job summary

CVS Health Digital is seeking a Staff Software Development Engineer to design and deliver scalable backend services. You will work with Java, Spring Boot, and RESTful APIs in a cloud-native environment to exchange healthcare data securely.

You will partner with product, architecture, security, and DevOps to ensure reliability, observability, and compliance in regulated healthcare systems across platforms.

Qualifications

• Hands-on backend development with Java/JEE and Spring Boot.
• Experience delivering RESTful microservices at scale.
• Familiar with cloud-native patterns and regulated domains.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain backend microservices with Java/JEE and Spring Boot exposing secure RESTful APIs.
• Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines with unit/integration tests and code quality checks.
• Collaborate with Security and DevOps to integrate automated security controls.
• Apply 12-factor app principles and infrastructure-as-code practices.
• Integrate backend services with health data standards and EHR systems.
• Ensure HIPAA compliance, data governance, and platform security.
