CVS Health Digital is seeking a Staff Software Development Engineer to design and operate backend microservices at scale, with Java, Spring Boot, and RESTful APIs in cloud-native environments. You will partner with product, architecture, security, and DevOps teams to deliver compliant, high‑availability services for healthcare data exchange.

Competenze

• 7+ years of professional software development experience.
• Backend development with Java/JEE, Spring Boot, and Node.js.
• Experience building RESTful microservices and distributed systems.
• Deployment and operation experience on Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
• Hands-on experience with Kafka or similar event-streaming platforms.
• Strong REST API design and JSON data modeling knowledge.
• CI/CD pipelines and containerized workloads (Docker, Kubernetes).
• Familiarity with healthcare or regulated systems is a plus.
• Cloud certifications (GCP/AWS) are preferred.
• Familiarity with BigQuery/Spanner is a plus.
• Observability, monitoring, and alerting tooling experience (Grafana, Splunk).

• Design and deliver highly available, secure microservices powering healthcare data exchange.
• Develop backend microservices using Java/JEE and Spring Boot exposing secure RESTful APIs.
• Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines with testing and automated deployments.
• Collaborate with Security and DevOps to integrate automated security controls.
• Apply 12-factor app principles and infrastructure-as-code practices.
• Integrate backend services with EHR standards and HIPAA compliance.
• Own production readiness including latency, throughput, and cost efficiency.
• Conduct root cause analysis and drive reliability improvements (SLIs/SLOs).
• Implement observability with logging, metrics, and tracing for incident response.
