Qualifications

• 7+ years of professional software development experience.
• 5+ years building backend apps with Java/JEE, Spring Boot, REST microservices.
• 3+ years deploying on Google Cloud Platform (GCP) with GKE/Cloud Run.
• Hands-on experience with Kafka or similar event streams.
• Strong REST API design, JSON modeling, and OpenAPI/Swagger docs.
• CI/CD with Docker and Kubernetes; security fundamentals (OAuth2/OIDC, TLS).

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain backend microservices using Java/JEE and Spring Boot.
• Implement event-driven patterns with Apache Kafka and data exchange.
• Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines with testing and code quality.
• Collaborate with Security and DevOps teams to enforce security controls.
• Apply 12-factor app principles and infrastructure-as-code practices.
• Ensure HIPAA compliance and healthcare data standards integration.
• Provide observability through logging, metrics, and tracing; mentor juniors.
