Qualifications

• 7+ years of professional software development experience.
• 5+ years backend development with Java/JEE, Spring Boot and Node.js.
• Experience building RESTful microservices and distributed systems.
• 3+ years on Google Cloud Platform (GCP) with cloud-native patterns.
• Hands-on experience with Kafka or similar event-streaming platforms.
• Strong REST API design, JSON data modeling, and OpenAPI/Swagger.
• CI/CD pipelines and containerized workloads (Docker; Kubernetes).
• Security fundamentals (OAuth2/OIDC, TLS, secrets management).

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain backend microservices using Java/JEE and Spring Boot.
• Expose secure, performant RESTful APIs and resilient services.
• Implement event-driven patterns using Kafka.
• Model and exchange data using JSON with versioning and validation.
• Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines with testing and artifact promotion.
• Collaborate with Security and DevOps to integrate security controls.
• Apply 12-factor app principles and infrastructure-as-code practices.
• Integrate with healthcare data standards like HL7/FHIR.
• Ensure HIPAA compliance and platform security requirements.
• Own production readiness: availability, latency, throughput, cost.
• Diagnose production issues and drive reliability improvements.
• Implement observability for monitoring and incident response.
• Participate in architecture/code reviews and mentor engineers.
