Coinbase is seeking a Staff Analytics Engineer for Finance Analytics to set the technical direction of Coinbase's financial data layer and collaborate with Accounting, Controllership and FP&A to ensure books are closed accurately and on time.

You will design and own source-of-truth datasets in Snowflake/Databricks, orchestrate scalable ETL/ELT pipelines with dbt and Airflow, and define data quality, lineage, and SLAs.

Qualifications

• Accounting/finance background or CPA/CMA, with experience supporting month-end close and reporting.
• Expert SQL and Python, ETL/ELT development with dbt and Airflow.
• Strong data modeling using star/snowflake schemas and SCDs.
• Experience with Snowflake/Databricks or similar data warehouses.
• Staff-level experience leading multi-quarter initiatives and mentoring engineers.

Responsabilités

• Support month-end/quarter-end close with datasets and reporting.
• Make data audit-ready with SOX controls and lineage.
• Architect curated financial datasets in Snowflake/Databricks.
• Build scalable pipelines with Airflow/dbt and manage backfills.
• Define data quality frameworks and SLAs with accounting.
• Drive data contracts and mentor Analytics Engineers.
