Coinbase, Inc. is seeking a Staff Analytics Engineer to lead end-to-end finance data pipelines and data models in Snowflake/Databricks.

You will design scalable batch and near-real-time workflows, collaborate with Accounting and FP&A, and ensure financial data accuracy, traceability, and audit readiness. You will mentor Analytics Engineers, drive data contracts with upstream teams, and build reusable Python tooling to improve efficiency across finance data users in a remote-first environment

Formación

• Accounting exposure or work with Accounting/FP&A teams.
• Expert SQL with window functions and complex aggregations.
• Strong Python (OOP) and data modeling skills (star/snowflake schemas).
• Experience building production ETL/ELT pipelines with dbt and Airflow.
• Modern data warehouse experience: Snowflake, Databricks, BigQuery or Redshift.

Responsabilidades

• Partner with Accounting and FP&A to support month- and quarter-end close and build datasets, reconciliations and reporting.
• Make financial data and pipelines audit-ready with SOX controls, lineage, change management and auditor evidence.
• Design and own curated source-of-truth financial datasets in Snowflake/Databricks that align to the general ledger.
• Build scalable batch (and near-real-time where needed) pipelines orchestrated with Airflow/dbt, with backfills and runbooks.
• Define data quality tests, monitoring, SLAs, and data contracts with upstream teams; mentor Analytics Engineers.
