Coinbase is a remote-first company with quarterly in-person surges. The Staff Analytics Engineer on Finance Analytics will set the technical direction for Coinbase’s financial data layer, partnering with Accounting, Controllership and FP&A to ensure accurate, auditable financial data and reporting.

The role requires deep SQL, strong Python, data modeling skills, and experience with Snowflake/Databricks, dbt, and Airflow. You will mentor engineers and drive data contracts across teams.

Qualifications

• Strong SQL and Python skills with production ETL/ELT experience.
• Deep data modeling using star/snowflake schemas.
• Experience building data pipelines with dbt and Airflow.

Responsabilités

• Partner with Accounting and FP&A to support month-end and quarter-end close with datasets and reporting.
• Make financial data audit-ready with SOX controls, lineage, and evidence.
• Design and own architecture of curated, source-of-truth financial datasets in Snowflake/Databricks.
• Build scalable batch and near-real-time pipelines orchestrated with Airflow/dbt, with backfills and runbooks.
• Define reusable data quality and reconciliation frameworks and SLAs with Accounting.
• Drive data contracts with upstream engineering teams and mentor Analytics Engineers.
