Coinbase is seeking an analytics-focused engineer to join Finance Analytics. You will own and optimize financial data pipelines, ensuring accuracy, auditability, and timely month-end close.

The role blends data engineering with accounting-informed governance to support FP&A and reporting across the organization. You'll design trusted data models, build scalable batch and near-real-time pipelines using Snowflake/Databricks, Airflow, and dbt, and mentor junior engineers while partnering with

Qualifications

• Accounting exposure via degree or hands-on work with FP&A
• Expert SQL and Python skills; no production ETL/SQL experience = reject
• Deep data modeling with modular source-of-truth models
• Production ETL/ELT pipelines with dbt and Airflow
• Modern data warehouse experience: Snowflake/Databricks/BigQuery/Redshift
• Staff-level scope: led multi-quarter, cross-team initiatives

Responsabilités

• Support month-end and quarter-end close with datasets and reports.
• Ensure SOX-compliant controls, lineage, and audit-ready evidence.
• Architect curated source-of-truth datasets in Snowflake/Databricks.
• Build scalable pipelines with Airflow/dbt and manage runbooks.
• Define data quality frameworks and SLAs for finance data.
• Drive data contracts with upstream teams and mentor engineers.
