Job summary

Coinbase is seeking a Finance Analytics professional to partner with Accounting and FP&A, building auditable financial datasets and SOX-compliant controls across Snowflake/Databricks. You will ensure timely month-end close and accurate reporting with scalable data architecture.

You will design and own data pipelines with Airflow/dbt, mentor engineers, and drive data quality and contracts. A strong accounting foundation, SQL, Python, and data modeling are essential for this role.

Qualifications

• Accounting background or coursework, CPA/CMA strongly preferred.
• Experience with month-end close, reconciliations or financial reporting is desirable.
• Strong SQL and Python applied to finance data pipelines and analytics.
• Experience designing modular, reusable data models used by multiple teams.
• Experience with production ETL/ELT pipelines and monitoring.

Responsibilities

• Partner with Accounting and FP&A to support month-end and quarter-end close, building datasets, reconciliations and reporting.
• Make financial data and pipelines audit-ready with SOX controls, lineage and evidence for audits.
• Design and own architecture of curated source-of-truth financial datasets in Snowflake/Databricks linked to the GL.
• Build and own scalable batch (and near-real-time) pipelines with Airflow/dbt, including backfills and runbooks.
• Define reusable data quality and reconciliation frameworks with SLAs.
• Drive data contracts with upstream engineering, mentor Analytics Engineers and create reusable tools.
