Job summary

Compass is seeking a hands-on Security Engineer to own the AI product security surface, from model and retrieval layers to client-facing results. You will partner with AI platform and product engineering to enforce security standards and build real-time protections for AI features across the Compass platform.

You will drive threat modeling, implement guardrails for LLM inputs/outputs, and establish blast-radius controls for autonomous agents while hardening the AI supply chain.

Qualifications

• 7+ years in security engineering.
• 2+ years securing AI/ML or LLM systems end to end.
• Hands-on red teaming and adversarial ML experience.
• Strong cloud security, IAM, API security and DevSecOps fundamentals.

Responsibilities

• Own the AI product security roadmap and standards.
• Drive threat modeling for new AI features and RAG pipelines.
• Build real-time protections for inputs/outputs and data exfiltration checks.
• Design safety controls for autonomous agents and tool use.
• Secure the retrieval layer across RAG/vector stores.
• Harden the AI supply chain and evaluate third-party models.
• Develop detections and telemetry for AI abuse in production.
• Create reusable secure AI patterns and CI/CD checks.
• Advise engineers and executives on AI risk and roadmaps.
