Job summary

Compass is transforming residential real estate with an end-to-end platform that empowers agents globally. The Staff Security Engineer role drives secure-by-design product security across CIH, partnering with engineering to embed security from the start and to accelerate delivery while protecting enterprise data.

You will lead automated security testing, advise on architectures, and champion a security-first culture with AI-enabled capabilities across CIH products.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent practical work experience.
• 3+ years configuring automated pipeline tools (CI/CD) and security tools (SAST/DAST/SCA).
• Automation scripting with Python or Bash.
• Proficient in Python, JavaScript, TypeScript, Golang, or Java for product development.
• Security code reviews for Python, JavaScript, TypeScript, Golang, or Java.
• IaC tooling (Terraform) to provision secure infrastructure.
• Hands-on AWS experience aligning product delivery with security objectives.
• Experience applying AI to security processes for efficiency.

Responsibilities

• Automate & scale application security testing within CI/CD pipelines.
• Drive secure-by-design architectures with engineering teams.
• Act as a trusted security advisor to product and engineering groups.
• Advocate for secure-by-design practices across the organization.
• Foster collaboration between Product and Engineering to meet delivery goals securely.
• Lead AI-powered security capabilities and AI-SPM frameworks.
• Stay ahead of industry trends and adopt new technologies.
