Job summary

Compass, Inc. is building a modern, end-to-end real estate platform and seeks an experienced security-focused engineer to advance Safe-by-Default environments and IaC-driven security workflows.

You will work across endpoint management, identity and AI risk, collaborating with a remote, globally distributed team. You will automate deployments, strengthen security architectures, and help govern AI security guardrails while partnering with Detection & Response to thwart evolving threats.

Qualifications

• Deep, practical experience in at least one core security domain (endpoint management, identity, AI security, or IaC).
• Strong desire to learn the rest and grow with Compass.

Responsibilities

• Ensure Safe-by-Default Environments: secure all enterprise technologies including SaaS, endpoints, networks and BI tools.
• Modernize Endpoint Management: strengthen security architecture across macOS, iOS, Windows and Linux; expand automation.
• Drive GitOps & IaC Workflows: manage security configs via Terraform, version control, MR, CI pipelines and automated rollouts.
• Automate Lifecycle Security: design automation for secure endpoint deployment, patching and software distribution.
• Govern AI & MCP Security: enforce AI guardrails, manage MCP server usage and security evaluations.
• Assess Third-Party & AI Risk: evaluate security and AI risks of 3rd-party systems; provide architecture reviews.
• Partner on Detection & Response: collaborate on incident workflows and new security solutions to thwart threats.
• Iterate and Improve: perform regular security assessments and build foundational security tooling for growth.
