Job summary

Compass is seeking a Staff Security Engineer to drive secure-by-design across its engineering organization and CIH’s platform. You will automate security testing in CI/CD pipelines, partner with product and engineering to embed security from the start, and mentor teams on secure practices.

The role requires 3+ years in security, strong experience with CI/CD, SAST/DAST/SCA, Terraform/IaC, AWS, and AI-enabled security tooling; a CS degree or equivalent experience is required, with strong

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field or equivalent practical experience.
• 3+ years administering CI/CD tooling and automated security testing tools.
• Automation scripting in Python or Bash.
• Product development using Python/JavaScript/TypeScript/Go/Java.
• Security code reviews for Python/JavaScript/TypeScript/Go/Java.
• IaC experience with Terraform to provision secure infrastructure.
• Hands-on AWS experience aligning product delivery and security.
• Experience using AI to assist product security processes.

Responsibilities

• Automate, scale, and support automated application security testing within CI/CD pipelines.
• Drive secure-by-design architectures with engineering teams.
• Serve as a trusted security advisor for product features and development processes.
• Advocate for security-first practices across the organization.
• Build collaboration across Product and Engineering to maintain delivery velocity and security.
• Lead AI-powered security capabilities and AI Security Posture Management frameworks.
