Job summary

Invoca is seeking a Staff AI Platform Engineer to help build the core AI platform powering development and deployment of AI capabilities across product teams. This is a platform engineering role focused on reusable primitives, APIs, and governance.

You will design scalable APIs, SDKs, and services, improve observability and reliability, and shape technical direction for AI platform adoption. Remote-first role with multiple US locations and competitive compensation.

Qualifications

7+ years of professional experience in platform engineering for AI/ML systems.
Experience with agent orchestration, model-serving abstractions, evaluation systems, or retrieval infrastructure.
Strong design sense for platform APIs, SDKs, and developer tooling.
Familiarity with Kubernetes, Terraform and containerized environments.

Responsibilities

Architect the AI platform foundations: core libraries, APIs, and shared services.
Build reusable platform primitives for orchestration, retrieval, tooling, and governance.
Own the evaluation platform with CI/CD, datasets, and scoring pipelines.
Standardize context management, prompts, and governance to enable safe AI development.
Drive technical strategy and platform adoption across teams.
