Job summary

Accordion Partners in New York, NY, is hiring for its AI Lab to design and deliver agentic AI solutions for private equity clients. You will work at the intersection of hands-on engineering and technical leadership, shipping production-grade systems and defending your decisions in client meetings.

The role spans Staff to Executive Director levels, focusing on architecture, evaluation infrastructure, and cross-practice collaboration with CFOs and PE operators.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated ownership of a production AI system with real users or clients
• Deep fluency in agentic architecture: multi-agent orchestration, RAG, tool use, structured output, and evaluation/observability
• Strong Python and TypeScript/React fundamentals and judgement on framework vs glue code

Responsibilities

• Architect and ship the hardest agentic systems in the portfolio
• Set technical standards and reusable patterns adopted across pods
• Own build-vs-buy and architecture trade-off decisions for clients
• Build and evolve observability and evaluation infrastructure for production AI quality
• Mentor engineers through architecture reviews and code review
• Travel to client sites as needed
• Represent AI Lab’s technical point of view in cross-practice conversations (Senior Staff/Executive Director level)
