Job summary

RethinkFirst is seeking a Staff Accountant to join our accounting and finance team, reporting to the Controller. This role will perform day-to-day accounting tasks, including bank reconciliations, and ensure timely financial reporting.

Ideal candidates have a degree in Accounting or Finance (preferred) with 2-3 years of accounting experience and advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, VLOOKUP), in a remote-friendly environment.

Qualifications

• Undergraduate degree in Accounting or Finance preferred.
• 2–3 years of accounting experience.
• Strong Excel skills with pivot tables and VLOOKUP.

Responsibilities

• Perform day-to-day accounting activities, including bank reconciliations.
• Investigate and resolve accounting discrepancies and irregularities.
• Assist the month-end close process, including balance sheet and P&L reconciliations.
• Ensure deadlines are met for financial reporting and management review.
• Support external auditors by providing requested documentation and GAAP compliance.
