Job summary

Cox Automotive Canada is seeking a financial partner within Cox Fleet to perform general accounting tasks, reconcile balance sheet accounts, and support the monthly close process. You will gain in-depth knowledge of P&L accounts, balance sheet activity, high-volume journal entries, and internal controls.

The role emphasizes GAAP compliance and collaboration with stakeholders. Strong Excel and Oracle experience are preferred, with exposure to Blackline and automation tools to improve efficiency.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or Accounting is required or equivalent.
• Strong knowledge of GAAP and general accounting principles.
• Experience with high-volume journal entries and month-end close processes.
• Excellent analytical and data interpretation skills.
• Proven ability to work with cross functional teams.
• Proficiency with MS Office and financial software tools.

Responsibilities

• Reconcile Balance Sheet accounts monthly and explain variances.
• Assist monthly fiscal close by preparing necessary journal entries.
• Perform general ledger activities including accruals and reclassifications.
• Review monthly activities for accuracy and identify improvement opportunities.
• Conduct account research to determine trends and estimates.
