Job summary

RXO Inc. is hiring a Senior Accountant in Charlotte to manage GAAP-compliant accounting, month-end closes, and financial reporting.

You will coordinate journal entries, reconciliations, and intercompany activity across multiple ledgers, ensuring accuracy and timeliness. The ideal candidate has a Bachelor's degree with 2 years of accounting experience and strong data research skills; a Master's or CPA and Oracle/HFM/Blackline experience are a plus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent related work or military experience.
• 2 years of accounting experience.
• Ability to understand and research large volumes of data from multiple sources.
• Master's degree in Accounting, Finance or Business (preferred).
• CPA certification and/or public accounting experience (a plus).
• Experience with Oracle, HFM and Blackline.
• Excel skills with pivot tables and lookups.

Responsibilities

• Ensure accurate, complete and timely compilation and recording of accounting information, analysis and reporting in accordance with GAAP and company policies.
• Support month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closes including SOX compliance and external audits.
• Maintain general ledger accounts and reconciliations; research and interpret activity and variances across areas (revenue, margin, prepaids, accruals, intercompany, FX).
• Prepare and review journal entries per policy.
• Oversee monthly reconciliation of intercompany accounts; coordinate with teams to resolve variances.
• Support monthly financial reporting and ad hoc analyses.
