Job summary

Cox Automotive, based in Atlanta, is seeking a Senior Accountant - International to drive global accounting operations. You will manage journal entries, intercompany activity, and variance analysis while coordinating with offshore teammates and local teams.

The role requires strong GAAP knowledge, cross-functional collaboration, and advanced Excel with AI tools. CPA preferred; international tax concepts and audit support are important.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in business/finance/accounting required; Master’s or PhD with experience welcomed.
• CPA preferred.
• 2+ years of international operational accounting experience preferred.
• Strong knowledge of month-end close and accounting principles.
• US GAAP with IFRS exposure; Israeli GAAP a plus.
• Knowledge of international tax concepts and intercompany/transfer pricing.
• Ability to partner with Tax, Legal, Treasury, FP&A and Operations globally.
• Demonstrated customer service and process-improvement mindset.
• Excellent communication, organizational, and analytical skills; advanced Excel; AI tools.
• Experience with OneStream/BlackLine/Oracle EBS/NetSuite a plus.

Responsibilities

• Support monthly close by posting journals and coordinating offshore work.
• Record, reconcile, and settle intercompany transactions and cross-charges.
• Perform accounting research and variance analysis to explain trends.
• Reconcile balance sheets with proper supports and oversight.
• Explain US GAAP vs local statutory accounting differences.
• Document processes to standardize with Cox policies and local laws.
• Lead preparation of PBC schedules and audit support for statutory audits.
• Identify opportunities to automate and offshore integration to improve efficiency.
• Partner with international accounting leadership and local teams for controls and reporting.
• Review discrepancies and ensure accurate financial records.
• Ensure procedures comply with US GAAP and local standards.
• Prepare ad hoc analyses and complete projects.
• Perform other duties as assigned by management.
