Job summary

Poli Construction Inc. is seeking a hands-on Staff Accountant & People Ops Administrator to bring accounting and HR admin in-house. You will own core accounting workflows, support payroll via ADP, and drive automation to improve processes while partnering with our Controller.

This role offers real ownership, fast learning, and measurable outcomes with a clear path to expanded responsibilities in the accounting/Controller track.

Qualifications

• 5–10 years accounting operations experience (construction a plus, not required).
• Strong AP + reconciliations + month-end support fundamentals.
• Experience coordinating payroll runs (ADP experience preferred).
• High ownership, accuracy, and deadline discipline.

Responsibilities

• Accounts Payable + Vendor Management: coding, approvals, vendor communication, documentation.
• Payroll Support (ADP): coordinate inputs, cutoffs, and issue resolution for ~40 employees.
• Bank Feeds + Reconciliations (QBO): maintain transaction hygiene and reconciliations.
• Month-End Close Support: complete close checklist items and schedules.
• Construction Ops Finance Support: assist job-costing and keep cost data clean.
• HR Admin / People Ops: onboarding, offer letters, benefits administration.
