Job summary

People Architects is seeking an Assistant Controller to support accounting, HR and payroll for a growth-focused client. You will partner with the Controller and leadership, directing admin and finance workflows across AP, AR, billing, and payroll.

Responsibilities include month-end close, budget tracking, and ensuring accurate labor costing for multiple entities. You will manage payroll for ~120 employees, verify timecard data, onboarding, and compliance, while driving process improvements

Qualifications

• 3-5+ years of combined accounting and HR/payroll experience in a fast-paced, growing company.
• Hands-on month-end close, reconciliations, and financial reporting experience.
• Full-cycle payroll experience across multiple entities or payrolls with hourly staff.

Responsibilities

• Support the monthly close so P&L and financial statements are delivered on time.
• Pull data from QuickBooks to build monthly P&L, management, and budget-versus-actual reports.
• Maintain and update the annual budget and in-year forecasts.
• Perform bank, credit-card, and balance-sheet reconciliations.
• Oversee AP, AR, billing and ensure timely vendor payments.
• Coordinate payroll for ~120 employees and onboarding for new hires.
