Job summary

AppleOne Employment Services is seeking a Staff Accountant for a direct-hire, onsite role in Kent, WA. The position covers AR, AP, GL, reconciliations, and month-end close, reporting to the Controller in a fast-paced, inventory-driven environment.

You will contribute to financial reporting, assist with special projects, and partner with leadership to improve processes while maintaining accuracy and compliance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• 3+ years of hands-on accounting experience.
• Strong Excel and ERP system experience.
• Experience across AR, AP, GL, reconciliations, and month-end close.
• Detail-oriented, organized, and accurate.
• Ability to manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Manage Accounts Receivable activities, including invoicing, cash applications, account research, and collections support.
• Support Accounts Payable functions, including invoice processing, coding, and payment support.
• Prepare and post General Ledger journal entries and maintain accurate accounting records.
• Perform bank account, balance sheet, and General Ledger reconciliations.
• Assist with month-end and year-end close activities, financial reporting, and accounting analysis.
• Research discrepancies, support documentation requirements, and assist the Controller with special projects and process improvements.
