Job summary

AppleOne Employment Services in Escondido, CA is seeking an AP/AR Clerk to manage the full AP/AR cycle in a growing manufacturing environment. The role requires 5+ years of related experience and proficiency with QuickBooks or another ERP system.

You will handle invoices, payments, collections, and tax reporting while supporting multiple departments. The position offers a direct hire arrangement with a Monday–Friday schedule.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in AP/AR or accounting.
• Proficiency in QuickBooks or another ERP system.
• Strong knowledge of Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable functions.
• Experience with Purchase Orders.
• Basic knowledge of payroll and taxes.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work independently.
• Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills.
• Customer service experience and professional phone etiquette.
• Microsoft Office proficiency (Outlook, Word, Excel).

Responsibilities

• Process and monitor customer purchase orders from receipt through shipment.
• Process incoming payments and post receipts accurately.
• Prepare and send customer invoices.
• Reconcile accounts receivable records.
• Research and resolve payment and invoice discrepancies.
• Follow up with customers regarding payment status and outstanding balances.
• Process bank deposits and monitor collections.
• Handle sales tax reporting for multiple states (CA, TX, NC, PA, NV, etc.).
• Work closely with multiple departments to ensure smooth operations.
• Maintain administrative systems, procedures, and policies.
• Organize and manage documents in a paperless environment.
• Provide support to the Administration, Sales, and Service teams.
• Handle filing, archiving, and general office support.
