Job summary

RethinkFirst in Milton, MA is seeking an experienced accounting professional to join our remote-first finance team. You will manage day-to-day accounting tasks, support month-end close, reconcile accounts, and assist with audits while ensuring GAAP compliance.

The ideal candidate has 2–3 years of accounting experience, an undergraduate degree in Accounting or Finance, and advanced Excel skills (pivot tables and VLOOKUP).

Qualifications

• Undergraduate degree in Accounting or Finance required.
• 2–3 years of relevant accounting experience preferred.
• Advanced Excel skills with pivot tables and VLOOKUP required.

Responsibilities

• Perform day-to-day accounting activities, including bank reconciliations.
• Investigate and resolve accounting discrepancies and irregularities.
• Assist the month-end close process, including balance sheet and P&L reconciliations.
• Ensure deadlines are met for financial reporting and management review.
• Support external auditors by providing requested documentation.
• Ensure compliance with GAAP and company policies.
