Job summary

RethinkFirst is seeking an Accounting professional for a remote-first role serving US residents. You will handle day-to-day accounting tasks, bank reconciliations, and assist with month-end close, ensuring timely financial reporting and GAAP compliance.

Collaboration with auditors and adherence to internal controls are key parts of the role. The ideal candidate has 2–3 years of accounting experience and an undergraduate degree in Accounting or Finance, with advanced Excel skills including pivot

Qualifications

• Undergraduate degree in Accounting or Finance.
• 2-3 years of relevant accounting experience.
• Advanced Excel skills including pivot tables and VLOOKUP.

Responsibilities

• Perform day-to-day accounting activities, including bank reconciliations.
• Investigate and resolve accounting discrepancies and irregularities.
• Assist the month-end close process, including balance sheet and P&L reconciliations.
• Ensure deadlines are met for financial reporting and management review.
• Support external auditors by providing requested documentation.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, internal controls, and GAAP standards.
