Job summary

RethinkFirst is seeking a detail-oriented accountant to join our finance team. This remote-friendly role supports day-to-day accounting, reconciliations, and month-end close.

Ideal candidates have an undergraduate degree in Accounting or Finance, 2–3 years of experience, and advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, VLOOKUP). We offer comprehensive benefits, remote-first culture, and generous holidays.

Qualifications

• Undergraduate degree in Accounting or Finance preferred.
• 2–3 years of relevant accounting experience.
• Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, VLOOKUP) required.

Responsibilities

• Perform day-to-day accounting activities, including bank reconciliations.
• Investigate and resolve accounting discrepancies and irregularities.
• Assist the month-end close process, including balance sheet and P&L reconciliations.
• Ensure deadlines are met for financial reporting and management review.
• Support external auditors by providing requested documentation.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, internal controls, and GAAP standards.
