Respondology is seeking a detail-driven Staff Accountant I to handle day-to-day bookkeeping, accounts receivable, payables entry, deposits, and expense and commissions reporting. This role reports to the CFO and offers growth as the first core accounting team member, collaborating with Sales and Customer Success on invoicing and collections.

You’ll advance with time, building processes, automating routine tasks, and contributing to revenue-related reporting with accuracy and initiative.

Formación

• 1–3 years of accounting, bookkeeping, or AR/AP experience (internships count) in a startup or SaaS environment.
• Solid grasp of accounting fundamentals (debits/credits, reconciliations) and comfort with AP, AR, and bank reconciliations.
• Working with clients on billing and payment questions in a friendly, professional manner.

Responsabilidades

• Manage day-to-day accounts receivable: applying payments, following up on balances, and building relationships with client billing contacts.
• Manage customer invoicing, ensuring bills go out accurately and on time.
• Enter vendor bills and payables, prepare payment runs, and keep the AP inbox current.
• Serve as the first point of contact for the shared accounting inbox and respond to inquiries quickly.
• Record and deposit incoming checks and match deposits to the bank.
• Prepare monthly bank, credit card, and expense reimbursements reconciliations with CFO review.
• Process employee expense submissions and ensure proper coding and compliance with policy.
• Prepare monthly commissions reports and recurring AP/AR reports for leadership.
• Maintain organized documentation and support month-end tasks; look for process improvements.
