Job summary

Baysora is seeking a Staff Accountant to join a growing portfolio of OpCos as it moves through onboarding and growth stages. You will run the monthly close, prepare reconciliations, and support schedules on a predictable cadence, while flagging unusual items to more senior team members.

You will shadow the Senior Accountant to learn onboarding and growth-stage work, with AI and automations used to scale processes and maintain audit-ready documentation across the portfolio.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required.
• 0 to 2 years of accounting experience welcomed.
• Able to follow an established process precisely and consistently.
• Good attention to detail and willingness to ask questions when needed.

Responsibilities

• Run the monthly close for a portfolio of mature OpCos following an established, standardized process.
• Prepare account reconciliations, standing journal entries, and supporting schedules.
• Flag exceptions and unusual items to the Senior Accountant or Group Controller rather than resolving them independently.
• Learn onboarding and growth-stage work by shadowing the Senior Accountant, building toward that next step.
• Leverage AI and automations to scale/accelerate processes.
• Maintain clean, audit-ready documentation for every close.
