Confidential is seeking a Staff Accountant to join our Accounting team in a fast-paced environment. You will support financial reporting, bank reconciliations, and close processes while maintaining accuracy across multiple priorities.

The role emphasizes detailed journal entries, variance analysis, and collaboration with cross-functional teams. A Bachelor's in Accounting/Finance and 1–3+ years of experience, with CPA/CPA-track preferred, will help you thrive in this position.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field or equivalent experience.
• 1–3+ years of progressive accounting experience in a dynamic environment.
• CPA or CPA-track preferred.
• Strong analytical, organizational and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed monthly bank reconciliations and supporting schedules.
• Prepare journal entries and account reconciliations with a focus on accuracy and completeness.
• Support revenue accounting activities, reconciliations, and related financial reporting.
• Assist with month-end close activities and ensure deliverables are completed accurately and on schedule.
• Review general ledger activity to improve close efficiency and data integrity.
• Investigate and resolve accounting discrepancies and variances.
• Analyze financial results and identify trends, risks, and opportunities.
• Provide variance analysis against budget, forecast, and prior periods.
• Support annual financial audits and respond to audit requests in a timely manner.
• Assist with maintaining internal controls and compliance processes.
• Identify and implement process improvements that increase efficiency and accuracy.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure accurate financial reporting.
