LHH, located in Houston, TX, is seeking a Staff Accountant to join our growing accounting team. This role offers opportunities to expand experience, take on more responsibility, and gain exposure within the organization.

Responsibilities include month-end close, journal entries, reconciliations, and assisting with financial statements and audits. Strong Excel skills and familiarity with ERP systems are highly valued.

Formación

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• 2+ years of accounting experience preferred.
• Working knowledge of GAAP and general ledger accounting.
• Experience with month-end close and account reconciliations.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including PivotTables and VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP.
• Experience with an ERP system such as NetSuite, SAP, Oracle, or Microsoft Dynamics is a plus.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team.

Responsabilidades

• Assist with month-end and year-end close processes
• Prepare and post journal entries
• Complete bank and balance sheet reconciliations
• Maintain general ledger accounts and research account discrepancies
• Assist with accruals, prepaids, fixed assets, and other account activity
• Support preparation of monthly financial statements and reporting
• Assist with internal and external audit requests
• Ensure transactions are recorded accurately and in accordance with GAAP
• Partner with other departments to resolve accounting-related questions
• Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes and efficiencies
