Job summary

LHH Recruitment Solutions is seeking a Staff Accountant to manage a variety of accounting tasks, including booking journal entries for revenue, expenses, and accruals, and supporting the month-end close. You will assist with the preparation of financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements, and reconcile general ledger accounts.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
CPA and/or MBA is preferred.
3+ years of accounting experience, preferably in the construction industry or a professional services firm.
Strong understanding of GAAP and financial reporting.
Proficiency with ERP systems and advanced knowledge of Excel.
Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

Prepare and book journal entries for revenue, expenses, and accruals.
Assist with the month-end and year-end close processes, ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting.
Support the preparation of financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
Reconcile general ledger accounts and resolve discrepancies.
Assist with audits by providing supporting documentation and responding to auditor inquiries.
