Job summary

LHH US in Phoenix, AZ is seeking a Staff Accountant to join a growing finance team. This role focuses on general ledger accounting, account reconciliations, financial reporting, and month-end close activities in a fast-paced environment.

Requirements include a Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field, 2+ years of corporate accounting experience, Excel proficiency (PivotTables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP), and familiarity with ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle, NetSuite or Microsoft Dynamics.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required in Accounting or related field.
• 2+ years of corporate accounting experience.
• Proficiency with Excel and ERP systems.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and post journal entries and maintain accurate general ledger records.
• Perform monthly account reconciliations and investigate discrepancies.
• Assist with month-end and year-end close processes.
• Prepare supporting schedules and financial reports for management review.
• Analyze financial data and identify variances or unusual transactions.
• Support budgeting and forecasting activities.
• Assist with audits by preparing documentation and responding to auditor requests.
• Reconcile bank accounts, fixed assets, prepaid expenses, and accruals.
• Ensure compliance with accounting policies, procedures, and GAAP standards.
• Collaborate with cross-functional departments to resolve accounting-related issues.
• Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes and internal controls.
