Job summary

LHH is partnering with a well-established company in Houston that is adding a Senior Staff Accountant to its corporate accounting team. This role offers exposure to full-cycle accounting and collaboration with finance leadership.

The successful candidate will prepare journal entries, reconcile accounts, assist with month-end close, and support financial reporting in a fast-paced environment with clear growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• 2–5 years of full-cycle accounting experience.
• Strong general ledger and month-end close experience.
• Experience with journal entries, reconciliations, AP/AR, and financial reporting.

Responsibilities

• Prepare journal entries and account reconciliations.
• Assist with month-end close activities.
• Process and oversee AP and AR transactions.
• Perform bank reconciliations and cash activity tracking.
• Support financial reporting and accounting operations.
• Research and resolve accounting discrepancies.
• Collaborate closely with accounting and finance leadership on special projects.

What We're Looking For
