Job summary

LHH is seeking a detail-oriented Accountant to join our Baltimore finance team. You will manage full-cycle accounting, prepare GAAP-compliant statements, and support budgeting and variance analysis in a fast-paced environment.

This role requires strong ERP and Excel skills, excellent analytical abilities, and clear communication. You will mentor junior staff and collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve financial operations, with competitive pay and benefits.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA preferred).
• Minimum of 1 year of accounting experience.
• Proficiency in ERP systems and Excel.
• Strong understanding of GAAP and financial reporting standards.
• Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage full-cycle accounting including journal entries, reconciliations, and month-end close.
• Prepare and analyze financial statements in accordance with GAAP.
• Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.
• Oversee accounts payable and receivable processes.
• Support external audits and ensure compliance with internal controls.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve financial operations.
• Mentor junior accounting staff and support their development.
