Job summary

Akumin, a leading provider of outpatient radiology and oncology services, seeks a Staff Accountant to support monthly and quarterly financial reporting and the close process. You will prepare statements, footnotes, journal entries, and reconciliations to ensure accuracy and timeliness of the company’s reports.

This role emphasizes collaboration with accounting management to review accounts, investigate discrepancies, support cash management, and assist with audits.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience required.
• 2–3 years of related experience and/or training.
• CPA license required.

Responsibilities

• Assist in preparing quarterly and annual financial statements, footnotes, MD&A, and investor reporting.
• Prepare monthly financial reporting packet for internal reporting.
• Record journal entries to the general ledger for debt, equity, goodwill, and intangible assets.
• Review general ledger accounts for propriety, investigate discrepancies, and prepare correcting entries as needed; reconcile balance sheets monthly.
• Assist with daily cash management and treasury reporting.
• Support annual financial audits.
